Edward Cheron selected for Contracts Industry Council (CIC)
LATG’s director for government services, Edward Cheron, has been selected to server on the Charleston Defense Contractors Association’s (CDCA) Contracts Industry Council (CIC). He is representing the interests of New Orleans based companies who provide technical support to the US Navy, Marine Corps and other DoD organizations through contracts issued and managed by Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic. He is also and serving as coordinator for local visits by NIWC Atlantic senior leadership and technical staff.
The CIC’s mission is to increase the degree of integration and quality of the business partnership between NIWC Atlantic and Industry. The CIC will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and improve acquisition productivity in support of the NIWC Atlantic mission and the warfighter. The Council will focus on issues in the acquisition process that impact the Government and a high percentage of industry partners.
About the CIC Nomination:
Industry nominees’ companies must have a Prime or Subcontractor providing support to NIWC LANT. Industry nominees’ companies must be an active member of one of the local associations. In addition, nominees must be a full-time employee of the company and be recognized by their Industry partners as having extensive experience and familiarity with the NIWC LANT business practices, so the council can share and assess improvement possibilities.
